Our Programs
What We Do
Climate Smart Agriculture
Since its inception in 2015, Save Live International (SALIIN) has been at the forefront of advancing Climate Smart Agriculture by improving smallholder fruits and vegetable production and enhancing water security in rural communities. Our efforts focus on:
- Distributing high-quality seeds to smallholder farmers to boost fruit and vegetable yields in a sustainable and climate-resilient way.
- Supporting the development and rehabilitation of water infrastructure, including irrigation systems and water harvesting technologies.
- Promoting climate-smart practices that increase productivity, conserve resources, and build resilience to drought and erratic weather.
- Empowering communities to lead sustainable agricultural projects that improve nutrition, incomes, and overall well-being.
Gender & Women Empowerment Issues
Over the years, SALIIN has prioritized gender equality and women’s empowerment, with a focus on:
Combating Violence Against Women (VAW), including public humiliation and domestic abuse.
Enhancing awareness through collaborations with school teachers, media representatives, and law enforcement.
Addressing systemic marginalization and vulnerability through advocacy and community sensitization.
Partnering with key stakeholders to amplify impact and drive policy change.
Responding to Natural Disasters
SALIIN has been a frontline responder to natural disasters and emergencies (floods, hunger crises, etc.) since 2015. Key achievements include:
